With now over 30 projects confirmed, 50/50 is gaining momentum and building awareness – one of our projects #africashback was even tweeted by Stephen Fry! We’re still on the lookout for individuals or agencies to contribute projects, so get in touch for your chance to help save lives in East Africa.
Another way you can get involved is by spreading the word about 50/50 – back the projects, tweet, blog, donate and pass it on. The more people know about it, the bigger the impact.
Here’s a roundup of 50/50’s coverage on the web so far – get in touch if you want any more information:
Adweek Make or Break: 50 projects in 50 days
“While it has never been cheaper or easier to make things as an industry—we seem to be making less and researching more. The 50/50 project is an effort to get people in our industry to help raise money by making things. If you ever had a little idea that you thought could raise money or get hits on the web, what better excuse would you have than to do it for the famine? Go on, make something amazing. Prove me wrong.”

The Wall blog Charity uses guilt tactics to target celebrities through Twitter
“It’s commonly known that brands pay celebrities to tweet about their products, paying thousands for them to mention their products to millions of avid followers. But what if this concept was turned on its head, with the people who read those tweets having a say in how the money is spent? If followers were able to persuade 50 Cent, Mariah Carey and Paris Hilton to use their wealth for social good?”
